Welcome

Hi to the families at New Peninsula and welcome to our first blog on our new site! Our aim is that you will find inspirational connection and support, as well as resources, ideas, personal reflections and networking/connection opportunities. So keep checking this space as we continue to add new material over the coming weeks!

With all the Kingdom activity during this fantastic season of growth I’ve heard from different sources the inevitability of the enemy’s attack. To quote a line from my favorite movie series Oceans 13, “You can bank on it.” Whenever God is doing something significant you can expect that the enemy will attempt to distract, dissuade and divide the Church!
I read recently 2 Chronicles chapter 20 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2020&version=NIV) which talks about Jehosaphat’s response to a coming army planning to annihilate the Hebrew nation. While they were still a fair way off Jehosaphat rallied the people together and gathering with one voice worshipped God and cried out to Him. This is the true picture of ultimate dependence on God...instead of readying forces, preparing arms for battle, the people submitted themselves in faith to their Heavenly Father, who in turn responded triumphantly and powerfully!
Right before the enemy arrived, as the tiny Israelite army were marching out, “Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever." The next few hours were a mighty vindication of the people of God as their enemies were absolutely belted, even being defeated by their own allies! There is power when God’s people gather to worship and cry out to Him for His coming victory, grace, forgiveness, steadfastness, strength and conviction!
Don’t discount the power of having worship music continually on at home. Remember that even in the heat of battle, when all seems difficult and hope is distant, hold onto God giving thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.
God bless, Dan

  1. Hey Dan! thanks for you blog! I need to remind myself that it's a spiritual warfare out there and when God is doing significant work you can bet your bottom dollar satan is on the attack. When I listen to worship music or christian artists and am driving to work, I know I have a better shift and my heart is in the right place! Loz :)
